Winter Backlog

Well winter came early this year.  With that being the case, there are only a handful of tasks that can be done in these temps.  Thankfully the diesel heater has been able to keep me thawed out.  Below are the items I’ve added to the backlog.

Winter Backlog

  1. Strip the bus interior
  2. Prepare the cabin internal surfaces
    • Seal all seams
    • Fight corrosion as  it is discovered
  3. Replace/repair damaged windows
    • A road trip may be in order for this one
    • Three big double pane windows have lost their seal
    • Two smaller windows need to be replaced as well
    • Dents in the windshield need to be addressed before they become a big problem
  4. Finalize and tape off layout
  5. Insulate basement
  6. Gather and configure house electrical components
    • Inverter/charger (I’m currently eyeing up a Victron Quattro, but more wholistic research is needed)
    • Batteries (Seriously considering going with Lithium)
  7. Gather and configure water tanks
    • Fresh
    • Grey
    • No black water tank for us as we will be going with a composting toilet

These items don’t necessarily need to be done in order, but some do depend on others.  Many of them require more research and further definition in order to make them sprint ready.
